DO YOU HAVE A HEART FOR THOSE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS?
Today House Inc. is a not for profit, overnight, emergency shelter in Steinbach, MB that is seeking a couple or team of 2 people for house parents. Our mandate is to assist, empower and house individuals who have become homeless.
Successful applicants for Today House Inc.’s house parents will be required to host guests overnight from 5pm to 8am (1-4 guests), do light cooking (paid a per diem per meal), some basic housekeeping and supply monthly reports on shelter activities to Today House’s shelter coordinator.
House parents will be compensated with free accommodations, security system, cable, internet, and utilities relating to the shelter in lieu of pay.
House parents will have a separate, secure 1400 square foot, partially furnished living space on the main floor of the house which consists of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, laundry room and attached, single car garage.
Guests will occupy a separately entranced living space in the basement which includes 2 bedrooms, full bathroom facility and living area.
We envision successful applicants to be dependable, mature persons with compassionate hearts who want to make a difference. Successful applicants will be required to provide a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check.
